Probably the most photographed of the out Islands, Elbow Cay is best known for the historic Elbow Reef Light House in picturesque Hope Town Harbour.

Built by the British in 1836, it is the oldest working kerosene powered light in the world. Initially unpopular with locals whose major source of income was from wrecking and salvaging, the lighthouse has since become one of the most visited and recognizable destinations in Abaco.
